North Staffs Cycling was originally launched as Cycle2000 in 1994 with the aim of providing a country lane cycle riding alternative to other local clubs' more racing oriented rides and also to campaign for better conditions for everyday cycling in North Staffordshire.
In 2012 Cycle2000 changed its name to North Staffs Cycling to reflect the geographical area of its members, interests and activities.
We are a small local group of leisure cyclists (currently around 30 members) and enjoy exploring country lanes and relaxing at cafe stops. We welcome other cyclists so why not give us a try? For more information about rides see the "Rides" section.
We are also keen to see more people cycling locally and try to provide a voice for local cyclists who want better conditions for everyday cycling in North Staffordshire. We are keen to hear what local cyclists would like to see local councils doing to encourage more cycling and about locations where cyclists think action is needed. For more information on this see the "Campaign" section.
